K9NZF Systems'

Hamvention®  MegALinK

Welcome to the Hamvention® MegALinKinformation site. Here you will find all the information to participate and operate on the network that make up the Hamvention® MegALinK.

RF

The system provides mobile coverage from Indianapolis, IN to Dayton, OH. For Coverage west of exit 123, use 444.675. For coverage East of 123 to Dayton, use 443.325 103.5Hz. For portable coverage at Hamvention®, use 444.675 131.8Hz. (See Maps and details below)

IP

The MegALinK will be accessible from two Echolink® nodes for stations out of RF range and stations wishing to listen in on activities. The primary node will be K9NZF-R,443325. The secondary node will be KB9RRN-L,541081. It is recommended that the primary node be used due to the bandwidth capabilities of the K9NZF-R server. Note- K9NZF-L will also appear on-line, but will not be accepting connections. To participate via Echolink®, you must use K9NZF-R or KB9RRN-L.

Please make sure your EchoLink® node is operating properly before connecting to the system. Stations connecting to the system whose nodes are operating improperly and/or causing unreasonable noise or interference (i.e. carrier-squelch operated repeaters or simplex nodes receiving co-channel or malicious interference) will be disconnected by the system operators, and if necessary, permanently banned from the system.

The K9NZF/KB9RRN proxies will be reserved for use by system administrators and will be unavailable for use from 5/17 to 5/21. If you use one of these proxies, please make arrangements to use one of the other proxies available from a third party provider.
